Yesterday I was conversing with a male friend, and he ended up telling me about how he thinks women who have been raped “boo hoo” about it too much. After trying to explain to him that he will never know what it feels like to be a survivor, he tried to tell me about male survivors and how they shrug their experiences off. Fuck that. Neglecting issues doesn’t warrant victim blaming and shaming. Right?!
